White Wednesday - Baby Slip Dress

My Baby Slip Dress featured in the latest Sew Beautiful magazine.
Made using my pattern "Baby Daydresses"

I've always liked slips as dresses!
I finished the neck and armholes with a self facing (just turned the fabric over twice to make a narrow hem).

Then gathered up some baby lace edging and I whipped it to my Slip Dress

The embroidery design is from my Jeannie B. embroidery book on page 38.

And pretty pink Silk Satin Bows at the shoulder.

A sweet ruffle at the hem.

With pretty Bullion Rosebuds stitched just above the ruffle.

This is my White Wednesday along with Faded Charm.  Come along on a fun tour!

What a sweet, simple summer baby dress! Even though I don't have any babies to sew for right now, I have to make it anyway.
