Baby's Frist Daygowns pattern by The Old Fashioned Baby.
This is my little green Daygown.
I've shown you this Daygown before.
Today, I want to point a couple of things out to you. Like the lace insertion. This gown is the same style Daygown as the white gown in the last post except the fabric behind the lace has not been cut away. It gives it a slightly different look.

I also Pinstitched the back pleat, just like I stitched the white Daygown. I love doing that. The directions for the Pinstitched pleat are in the current Sew Beautiful magazine.

If that were Wilbur instead of Strider, the daygown would have been snatched quick as lightening and he would have been running down the hallway in escape LOL
The daygown is stunning and your pieces have inspired me to pick up the embroidery needle after many years. Even though grand children are quite a way in my future (daughters 19 and 22 are busy studying and developing early careers) I want to create the gowns and put some away and give others to friends' grand babies.
