A Morning In New Orleans

We are upstairs where it feels like we are sitting in a tree house.  Do you see the Oak Tree branches?
We went to Commanders Palace in New Orleans to celebrate an important family event!

It was a lovely Jazz Brunch!

Then we walked across the street to an old cemetery.

It was like a little city of graves.
And I am mesmerised by the thought that so long ago, the persons life was vital, just like mine is now.

This cemetery looks like streets with little houses.

Then we came out again.  This is the wall around the cemetery.

My family was indulging me.  They thought it a little strange that I wanted to walk through it.

And a little taste of typical New Orleans.
Lots of gardens, balconies and houses very close together.

It was a lovely day.

Commanders Palace is a lovely place to celebrate! So glad you had a reason to enjoy it.
I, too, sometimes appreciate the opportunity to walk through cemeteries. It is an opportunity to reflect on many things. This one is especially interesting. Have a lovely weekend!
