Amish Quilt - Embroidered

This  Quilt in progress is just beautiful!

One thing I found as I traveled through cornfields is that Quilts are the form of  needlework most women have in common in rural areas.

The dotted lines are the design area to be quilted.

I am fascinated!

This is the whole quilt top  already embroidered.

I absolutely love it!!
It inspires me.

And I can imagine the pleasure of sitting and embroidering this cloth.

I want to do it too.

This little shop  was a combo - Fabric and Harness Repair  shop.
The fabrics varied with most of them a solid color.  And surprisingly poly/cotton.

As a city girl, I find the county lovely and refreshing to the eye.

Quilting takes many forms and I love the hand stitched quilts.

Remember we are all  "Needlework  Sisters"!

Having fun!
