Fun Class in My Home

A nice bunch of ladies came to have a "Home" class with me.

We were stitching a day gown and learning mostly about hand sewing for babies.

First - a lesson laying out the pattern, pinning and cutting out the fabric.
(these ladies were seasoned stitchers so they were just looking for tips)

We talked about right and wrong sides of fabric, fabric grain lines and about how you always cut on the outside of the black line on my patterns.

We had a very pleasant day stitching!

We did some pinning and stitching  of lace insertion to fabric.

And finished out Front Facings by hand.

We tried some embroidery stitches, handmade Tucks, the Pinstitch and attaching lace down the Daygown front.

On the left is Mandy with her Mom - Super fun- having a daughter to sew with you!!!

You couldn't find a lovlier group of ladies.

Lucky ladies! To take a class from you is on my bucket list. I follow your teaching schedule but haven't been able to make it work with my schedule. :( I have family in BR; would love to take a class locally some summer.

I love making fine baby things and wish to hone my hand sewing skills. With 4 grands so far and the last two daughters getting married soon, there will be plenty more!
