Two Kids Sewing

Two sweet  Granddaughters visiting.

I love seeing them each at their own machine.

Victoria is my quilter.
We started a quilt for someone special.

And I love that she loves to use my Mom's Featherweight Sewing Machine.

We were discussing how much time is involved in quilting even BEFORE you begin to stitch it.  And that no one appreciates how much time is involved.

Above you see the lay out of the quilt we are making.
(we are kind of making it up)

It took ages to get the squares that you see above into just the right order.

And while we were out of the room…. my Brown Dog went into the room.

It took quite awhile to get the squares back in order.

Quilting tip:  Close the door if you are laying out a quilt on the floor.

What sweet granddaughters you have, and such a naughty dog. I used to have a cat that would do that.
