Kathy's Quilt

While I was in Cleveland, my sister and I stitched on her lap quilt.

(she stitches, I iron)

It's made using cute fabric triangles and white fabric.

I really like it.

Her dog, Penny, was pretty curious about it.

She has since put a border on it. 

Has made the quilt sandwich (batting between front and backing)  and is Hand Quilting it.

Cute Sewing Bag!

This is my cute sewing bag.

When my sister came last summer - she brought me this bag.

Isn't it cute?  It's sturdy too.  Love the tape measure handles!

And I put cute stuff in it!

My Beautiful Knitted Shawl.

I love this Shawl.  I think it is really called a Shawlette!

This is the Shawl my Sister knitted for me!  We chose the pattern and yarn while she was here for a visit.

It is made from a yarn that has silk in it and it is so soft and wonderful to wear.

  It matched my dress perfectly!

After it was blocked the openwork showed up even better.

I wanted  it ready to take to SAGA National Convention! 

 It was ready in plenty of time.  So pretty.

Lavender and a Stitching Sample Made Good!!

The Lavender smells heavenly!

My sister gave me a lovely Sachet and a bag full of Lavender!

I love the pink Roses and the blue Shadow Embroidery.

She made the Sachet from a sample she stitched prior to making a dress for her Daughter. 

 It is always a good idea to make a sample before stitching your garment.  That way you are sure the design and color are just what you want. And it gives you a chance to practice your embroidery stitches too.

This is the tag that was attached to the Sachet. 

Wow!! She stitched it 22 years ago!!

It would make a cute class project.

This is an excellent use of Class Samples or even projects you have begun but don't want to finish.  Just salvage  the pretty parts!

This is such a cute little tag!

I must ask her if she made it!  My guess is ...Yes.

I love it!!

My birthday Paperwhite is beginning to open.

It's important to have flowers in the house in the winter.

They are very cheerful!

Each day has it's sunrise.
