Teaching at Farmhouse Fabrics Day 2

On Day 2 at Farmhouse Fabrics we made progress on our Dress.  We finished stitching lace insertion on the yoke, and cut  out our dress.  Then we began construction.

We attached entredeux to the neck edge the Old Fashioned Method.  I love the way this finishes the edge so neatly.  To see "how to"…click HERE.

Looking good!!!

And we shopped some more!

See all those bins on the right of the picture?  They are FILLED TO THE BRIM with lace.  No kidding!!  It's an Heirloom Stitchers paradise here.

I brought some of my OFB garments to show.
Pressed all nice and neat.

And Carolyn brought an old pattern to show me.

I loved seeing this sweet little baby dress pattern. Thank you, Carolyn.
(She brought a cute Daygown and slip too but I forgot to photograph it. rats)

 Very Old Fashioned Baby!!

okay, the bins of lace pushed me over the edge. Farmhouse Fabrics is officially on my bucket list. Definitely when you are teaching a class. Maybe next year.
That Butterick pattern is adorable! It appears quite similar to some of your patterns, no?

Wendy, it is my love of the old garments/patterns that influence my designs. I love that old Butterick pattern. I will be teaching at Farmhouse next year. You would be in heaven just looking around their shop. Would love to see you there!

I loved your class and learned lots of new techniques. I just finished
my dress and slip last week for an Easter dress. Loved the class and
will hopefully attend next year. Thanks for having me.
